The Demonstration for the immediate release of Missing Persons of Pakistan was held by the joint effort of JI , PPF and DHR in the parade ground Jinnah AvenueIslamabad on 29th of April 09 at 5pm. The families of Missing Persons brought beautiful doves with them which they freed at the closing of the demo, symbolizing the freeing of their loved ones.
The main speakers were, President JI Rawalpindi dist. Raja Waheed , spokesperson PTI Dr. Shireen Mazari, chairman PakistanPakistan ex-servicemen association Brig. Khadim Hussain and Student leaders of Sabab-e-milli. professional forum Mr Luqman Asif, Representative of civil society Mrs. Ghazalla Minallah, chairperson DHRPK Mrs.Amina Janjua , representative of Pakistan ex-servicemen association Brig. Khadim Hussain and Student leaders of Sabab-e-milli.
The gathering chanted slogans for the release of all loved ones including those detained out f the country like Dr. Afia Siddiqui and Gauntanamo detainees. Speakers condemned the practices of illegal kidnappings arrests and torture, demanding from the Government concrete steps to be taken to put an end to this most torturing and grave violation of basic Human Rights that is Enforced Disappearance. They demanded from the Government that our valuable Doctors, Engineers , Scientists and Educationists must be brought back from where ever they are and respectably released all of them were sold to the US for sake of Dollars. The Leading speakers lamented the fact that the US is becoming more and more demanding with our Government least bothered about violating the sovereignty of Pakistan and the basic human rights of Pakistanis. If the US is in truth a true friend and ally of Pakistan, it must prove itself part of the solution not problem for Pakistan and release all those loved-ones suffering for years without end as ghost detainees in CIA's detention centers world wide.

A Press Conference was held today 23rd of May 4 pm , in the National Press club Islamabad, regarding the new cases of abduction taking place.In recent days as many as 6 / 7 cases have been reported to DHR, as law of the jungle prevails in the country.
